1.3.1 Customs requirements

1.3.1.1. Baggage or articles belonging to disembarking passengers and crew are immediately released except for those items selected by the customs authorities for further inspection. Such baggage will be cleared on the basis of an oral declaration

1.3.1.3. The importation of alcoholic beverages or items manufactured from, or containing alcohol, is strictly prohibited

1.3.2 Custom requirements in import, export and transit
|
Personal and commercial goods are subjected to customs procedures and disciplines in import, export or transit.
|
|
1.3.2.1. Customs requirements in import:
|
|
1.3.2.1.1. The necessary to declare any personal purchases or gifts whose value exceeds 3000 riyals or amount in foreign currencies and pay the customs duties and taxes due.
|
|
1.3.2.1.2. It is not allowable to transport goods that are internationally or locally prohibited or that are subject to applicable international agreements and treaties and local systems as well as adulterated goods or that violate certified specifications or intellectual property rights.

|
1.3.2.1.3. The necessity of submitting the declaration for those who carry currencies, jewelry or valuables up to 60,000 riyals, or any prohibited or restricted goods in the Kingdom, including cigarette and tobacco products, electronically via the website of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

1.3.2.1.4. It is necessary to submit the required permits and approvals from the competent authorities for the restricted goods.
|
|
1.3.2.1.5. The bill of lading and the original invoice for commercial goods must be presented in addition to the certificate of origin in the absence of a fixed indication of origin on the product.

1.3.2.1.6. The possibility of paying customs duties and taxes due on goods.

1.3.2.2. Customs requirements in export: -

1.3.2.2.1. The necessity of submitting the declaration for those who carry currencies, jewelry, or valuable materials with a value of up to 60,000 riyals, or any prohibited or restricted goods in the Kingdom, electronically via the website of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

1.3.2.2.2. The bill of lading and original invoice must be presented for commercial goods

1.3.2.2.3. It is not permissible to carry goods that are internationally or locally prohibited, or that are subject to applicable international agreements and treaties, and local regulations.

1.3.3 Immigration requirements
|
|
1.3.3.1. No documents or visas are required of passengers arriving and departing on the same through flight
|
|
1.3.3.2. A person entering Saudi Arabia for the purpose of immigration must hold a valid passport and an entry visa, the latter being issued at a Saudi Arabian consulate abroad. this regulation also applies to temporary visitors, i.e. those persons entering the country for a period not exceeding three months for non-immigrant purposes such as touring, recreation, sports, health, family reasons, study, religious pilgrimages or business.

1.3.3.3. All airlines operating in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia are required to return any passengers denied entry to the kingdom by the authorities
|
|
1.3.3.4. Flight crew members on scheduled services must be in possession of a valid passport for transit purposes; a crew member license or certificate is not acceptable in lieu.

1.3.3.5. From embarking passengers, a valid exit visa is required.
|
1.3.4 Public health requirements
|
|
1.3.4.1. All persons arriving from countries infected with yellow fever must have with them a health certificate showing a current yellow fever vaccination.
|
|
1.3.4.2. All aircrafts arriving from countries infected with yellow fever, dengue fever, and/or zika virus, are required to provide the health authority at airport with valid certificate indicating that disinsection was applied in accordance with methods recommended by World Health Organization (WHO).

|
1.3.4.3. On departure, operators are responsible for ensuring that passengers carry valid health certificates for their destinations, if required
